Beschreibung
The pirates in FlickFleet are a low-tech human faction that can augment either of the original human factions, or be played as a faction on their own. Prior to the Box of Pirate Flicks the pirates faction was way smaller than the other two human factions, but this expansion will make them a full faction with loads more fleet building options. Box of Pirate Flicks content expands the Pirates faction from Box of Flicks 2 allowing more exciting battles, but requires the FlickFleet base game to play.

The Box of Pirate Flicks is a new expansion consisting of loads of pirate ships for FlickFleet each of which contains one or two pirate ships or the wreckage that pirates mine for repairs.

With no access to naval dockyards, pirate ships rarely have shields, choosing instead to reinforce their ships' hulls for extra defence. They also don't have engineering actions that can always repair a ship, instead they must use Salvage Drones to raid asteroids and the wreckage left behind by destroyed capital ships for the materials they need.

A Box of Pirate Flicks adds second copies of the original pirate fleet from Box of Flicks 2 (with new names, so you can easily use both in a battle), plus another Behemoth, which was an add-on to that campaign. In addition, there are loads of new ships too:
Bomb barge - similar to a naval carrier this carries both Interceptors (pirate fighters, in a single-piece wing) and Detonators (pirate bombers, again in a single piece wing). The first time the pirates have access to bombers and their heavy weapons payload :)
Chop shop - pirates repair by salvaging pieces from the wreckage of other ships, which is sometimes a challenge due to the lack of the systems you most need. The chop shop is a mobile dockyard with the best techs on board who can recycle one type of system into another, converting discs into just the ones you currently need. A very powerful support vessel.
2 Corsairs - pirates are the kings of welding stuff together. This time they've found an alien battlefield and managed to recover a working set of the super manoeuvrable Storm engines. Which is great! Unfortunately the alien tech is so far beyond their own they are unable to repair them when damaged.
Gorgon - pirates have very few ships with shields, so finding a wrecked ion cannon corvette that was salvageable means they can even the scores by rapidly stripping their opponents of their shields.
2 Pillagers - the pillager is full to the brim with rabid pirate boarders, ready to run amok within an enemy vessel, destroying it from the inside out, or just pinching all the shiniest bits for their ship.
Rapier - the rapier is a small, fast and manoeuvrable ship for a pirate admiral. His battle cries (and horrible threats!) always get the best out of the pirates under his control - he can use an action of his own to exhort another pirate to take an action out of turn.
Colony ship - the colony ship is designed for extremely long voyages and carries loads of spares and excellent repair facilities to survive the long voyage. Which is why the pirates captured it. However it also carries loads of colonists in sleeper caskets. Who keep waking up and trying to reclaim their ship!
Mine layer - the mine layer carries area affect mines which when triggered will damage anything within their blast radius. One of our favourite ships from the whole of FlickFleet.
